Valley Education
The Chino Valley School District #51
presently operates four school facilities in the Town of
Chino Valley.
Del Rio Elementary (constructed in 1982) and
Territorial
Elementary (constructed in 1999) house the
District's 1,200 Pre-K through Fifth Grade students,
equally divided between the schools. Both schools house
fully equipped and Internet accessible computer labs,
full gymnasiums, plus breakfast and lunch programs.
Heritage
Middle School embraces the middle school concept of
learning appropriate for sixth through eighth graders.
Its award winning band and choral programs enroll over
half of the school's students. Two County Teachers of
the Year and Two Channel 3 Silver Apple Teacher award
winners are on the HMS faculty.
Chino Valley
High School partners with Yavapai College Campus for
Agribusiness, Science & Technology, located in Chino
Valley, where seniors may jointly enroll in CVHS and
Yavapai for advanced study. The school's Aquaculture &
Biotech Lab, Greenhouse and Livestock Facilities support
the award-winning FFA program. CVHS houses five computer
lab environments for students plus award-winning
programs in music and art, and a National award-winning
FBLA progam, along with the full component of
extracurricular activities and sports programs.
The District operates under the
supervision of a five member Governing Board and one
District Superintendent. The District presently employs
7 administrators and 6 directors on a full-time basis,
158 certified teachers and 190 full and part-time
classified employees.
Our schools have won many awards
including, National Blue Ribbon, the State Champion on
the Presidential Physical Fitness program, and State
Fine Arts Site. Our teachers, administrators, and staff
have won many prestigious awards for their excellence as
well.

Yavapai Community
College is a public two-year institution offering both
university transfer education and occupation education.
Yavapai College offers 18 various degree
programs and 20 different certificate programs. Through
an arrangement with Northern Arizona University (see
below), credits can be earned toward bachelor's and
master's degrees. A popular non-credit retirement college
hosts 900 students over the age of 62. The college has
instituted the
Small
Business Development Center to assist in the
establishment and administration of new ventures. Day
and evening classes are available for either full or

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
(ERAU), located on a 520 acre campus in Prescott, is the
world's preeminent institution of higher education
specializing in the fields of aviation and aerospace. The
4 year curriculum at ERAU covers the entire spectrum of
engineering, research, manufacturing, marketing, and
management of modern aircraft and the systems that support
them. The university operates a multimillion-dollar
flight training center at
Prescott Municipal

Northern Arizona University offers degree programs in
classrooms in Prescott. To accommodate students who want
even more flexibility, NAU's Statewide Academic Programs
offer courses in other formats, including web-based,
satellite delivery to your home, and interactive
instructional television. Students who never travel to
Flagstaff can still benefit from NAU's tradition and
